I went to school and studied Psychology and Latin American Studies. After college, I started as a language teacher for Teach for America. I taught language, grammar, history, and identity. Teaching about identity made me realize the power of media - how it could shape how we see ourselves.

So I went into advertising and found out about Account Planning. I was hooked. For the next few years, every move I made was to get closer to being a Strategist.

And how here I am, living the dream. I get to analyze people, culture, macro trends affecting our society. I get to think through how a person really gets to buying that burger, not the typical marketing funnel. And I get to influence the big creative idea in a campaign, and help that big idea be even bigger through my knowledge of media, people and culture.

Outside of work, I spend time with my son, who is growing up bilingual. We spend most of our time at a wine bar, which my husband started, just hanging out.

I love to knit, even though I’m terrible at it.

I love to cook, but only if there’s a recipe for me to follow and only, it seems, if I’m missing half the ingredients.

Ask me about my two dogs: Iggy Pop and Perro Pascal.

I’ll send you way too many pictures.
